Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Metadata Sherpa ("the Service", "we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to them.
What the Service does
The Service uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate suggested titles, descriptions, and keywords for stock video and photo submissions, based on frames extracted from files you provide. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the generated output before using it anywhere, including submitting it to Getty Images, iStock, or any other platform.
Your content
You retain all rights to the media you upload and the metadata generated for you. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to upload and process any media you submit, and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights or any law.
Credits and payment
- Generating metadata costs credits (currently 1 credit per photo, 3 credits per video); pricing may change over time.
- Credits are purchased in one-time packs via Stripe and do not expire.
- Credit purchases are generally non-refundable, except where required by law. If a generation fails due to an error on our end, the credit is automatically refunded to your balance.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you don't have the rights to use.
- Use the Service for anything illegal, or to generate content that's deceptive, harassing, or infringing.
- Try to circumvent the credit system or interfere with the Service's normal operation.
No guarantee of acceptance
We do not guarantee that generated titles, descriptions, or keywords will be accepted by Getty Images, iStock, or any other platform, or that they'll be accurate, complete, or error-free. You're responsible for reviewing all output before use.
Service "as is"
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.
Third-party services
The Service relies on Anthropic, Stripe, Supabase, and Vercel to operate. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable (for example, Stripe's terms govern your payment).
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
