Getty Keyword Validator (free companion extension)

Install steps (Chrome or Edge)

1. Download the Chrome zip above and unzip it — you'll get a folder.
2. Go to chrome://extensions
3. Turn on Developer mode (top right corner).
4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
5. Done — the extension icon should appear in your toolbar.

Install steps (Safari)

1. Download the Safari zip above and unzip it — you'll get "Getty Keyword Validator.app".
2. Drag it into your Applications folder, then double-click to open it once (this registers the extension with Safari).
3. In Safari, go to Settings → Extensions and enable Getty Keyword Validator.
4. Make sure it's allowed on both esp.gettyimages.com and this site — check via the extension's icon in Safari's toolbar, or Settings → Extensions → Getty Keyword Validator.

Troubleshooting (Safari)

• If the checkbox next to Getty Keyword Validator in Safari's Extensions settings won't click/enable, it's almost always because the app hasn't actually been opened yet — go to Applications and double-click "Getty Keyword Validator.app" once (just having it in Applications isn't enough).
• Still stuck? Fully quit Safari (Cmd+Q, not just closing the window) and reopen it, then check Extensions again.
• Use "Always Allow on Every Website..." in the extension's permissions if you don't want to add sites one at a time.

Using it

Keep a Getty ESP tab open in the same browser while you generate metadata on this site. If it's working, you'll see "Live keyword validation: detected" on the generator page instead of "not detected."

What this extension does (and doesn't do)

It has no business logic of its own — it's a small relay that lets this website check keyword candidates against Getty ESP's vocabulary using your own signed-in Getty session, open in another tab. It doesn't collect or transmit anything else.
